SUMMARY:American Radical by Michael Fowle
DESCRIPTION:Admission to this event is offered on a donation basis with the recommended donation of $50. \nAmerican Radical is a new play written by director Michael Fowle. This work has been in development for over a year\, and we are excited to share this first staged version with you. Audience members will be asked to share feedback\, and we will host a brief talk-back after the closing show on Sunday\, April 26th. \nFEATURING:\nZakariyya Beauchamp\, Melissa B. Robinson\, Jeff Stratford\, Kyle Donovan \nSYNOPSIS:\nWhen Ethan\, a directionless young man living at home\, finds belonging in a local men’s group\, what begins as self-improvement quietly hardens into ideology. Exploring masculinity\, loneliness\, and the subtle pathways to radicalization\, American Radical asks how the search for purpose can become something far more dangerous. \nRUN TIME:\n90 minutes (no intermission) \nNote: This show does include adult themes\, language\, discriminatory rhetoric\, violence\, and threats of violence.
