Our Culturally Inclusive Crop Program provides neighbors in need with familiar, culturally relevant foods, that not only ease the burden of acquiring fresh produce (which can be prohibitively costly, if it is available at all), but also encourages healthier eating choices.
MFB’s Mobile Market Program is meeting neighbors in the middle, bringing nutritious food and wraparound services to the under-resourced communities where our neighbors live and work.
Many of the people we serve are members of communities of color. They have historically been and continue to be disproportionally affected by racial injustice and inequality, which create additional barriers to food security.
Ministerio Puerta de Paz, located in Odenton, Maryland, is one of the many temporary partners that have joined forces with the Maryland Food Bank and stepped up to serve the increased need in their community during COVID-19.
