Graduates from FoodWorks Class 28 left our 12-week culinary program last Friday with a ServSafe Manager certification, job readiness skills, and a desire to give back despite facing an unimaginable amount of hardships. Here are some of their stories.

Tough Choices for Food-Insecure Marylanders

Many of the more than 682,000 food-insecure individuals in Maryland face tough choices every day. Choices like buying groceries or paying bills, getting food or medicine, or even having to forgo some meals to ensure their children have enough to eat. Here you’ll meet six Marylanders who have had to face their own tough choices and hear why the food assistance network means so much to them.

Celebrating Success: Congrats FoodWorks Class 22 Graduates

On Friday, January 20, we celebrated the accomplishments of our 22nd graduating class from our culinary program FoodWorks. Nine graduates received ServSafe certification and job-readiness training. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, program partners and local officials.
