The Central Hub for Food Distribution in Maryland
The Maryland Food Bank distributes food to every county in Maryland, with the exception of Prince George’s and Montgomery counties, which receive assistance from the Capital Area Food Bank.
Our Baltimore Office serves as our headquarters, housing administrative and programs staff, while also being the largest of our three warehouses. With 93,000 square feet, our Baltimore warehouse is the central hub for food distribution to central Maryland, as well as our branches in Western Maryland and on the Eastern Shore.
Hunger by the Numbers
- 1 in 3 Marylanders may face hunger on any given day.
- In FY23, the Maryland Food Bank distributed more than 40 million meals.
- Even so, food-insecure families in the region miss more than 111 million meals each year.
Until Hunger Ends
For almost 40 years, the Maryland Food Bank has partnered with communities across the state to distribute food to individuals and families in need. Through carefully crafted programs, the food bank aims to meet the immediate needs of Marylanders while simultaneously working to find long-term ways to reduce hunger statewide.
Currently distributing more than 110,000 meals daily and more than 40 million meals annually, the Maryland Food Bank will continue to expand its efforts until hunger ends.
