Giant Food is deepening its commitment to fighting childhood hunger with a generous $300,000 donation to the Maryland Food Bank’s School Pantry Program.
On February 13 – otherwise known as “Galentine’s Day” – dozens of dedicated female volunteers and board members showed their love for Marylanders facing food insecurity. Galentine’s Day sets aside a special time, one day before Valentine’s Day, for women to celebrate special friendships with their female friends.
On a bright and cold January day, staff and volunteers of the Maryland Food Bank arrived in Annapolis with a message for state lawmakers: We need YOU in the fight to end hunger.
