The Eastern Shore encompasses eight of the twenty-one counties we serve in the state of Maryland, and is home to nearly 45,000 individuals who are food insecure. We’re dedicated to helping them reach their full potential by expanding our hunger relief efforts in the region with a $1.5 million investment in infrastructure and operational improvements.
The movement against hunger in Maryland has gained momentum over the last several years, and the Maryland Food Bank has been humbled by the compassion and commitment displayed by a diverse group of individual supporters, public representatives, leaders in the private sector, and community partners. Hosted by established community organizations where children feel comfortable and safe, our Summer and Supper Clubs ensure that kids can be kids in the late afternoons during the school year and over the summer.
