And since 2018, Ben has been Maryland Food Bank’s Staff Writer, elevating the voices of food-insecure neighbors to further Maryland Food Bank’s mission of feeding people, strengthening communities, and ending hunger for more Marylanders.
Meet Tina Crow, a neighbor who unexpected found herself and her family in need at the holidays. Thankfully, she found comfortable relief at MFB Network Partner City of Refuge in northeast Baltimore.
While accessing nutritious food is critical to being able to thrive every day, it takes on an extra level of importance around the holidays. On behalf of the tens of thousands of neighbors whose holidays were made brighter, thank you from the Maryland Food Bank.
Due to the incredible support of Enterprise Rent A Car, Transamerica, the Baltimore Convention Center, and other local businesses, 25,000 Maryland families will be able to enjoy a delicious meal this holiday season.
Our Culturally Inclusive Crop Program provides neighbors in need with familiar, culturally relevant foods, that not only ease the burden of acquiring fresh produce (which can be prohibitively costly, if it is available at all), but also encourages healthier eating choices.
Starting with the 2023-24 school year, we’re right-sizing our School Pantry partnerships to produce better outcomes for our neighbors.
