To help alleviate the summer meal gap for children, the Maryland Food Bank provides free meals to kids through the Summer Club program at partner sites like Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, and other recreation centers.
Our Baltimore facility passed an AIB International safety audit earlier this month. The Salisbury facility is due to be audited next month. Grants provided funding to make safety upgrades to the facilities.
Lawmakers are working on legislation to continue funding for programs that put food in the stomachs of children across the nation. More than 258,000 Maryland children are food insecure and government-funded programs help put food to the table for them.
