Hunger Action Month 2025: Top 7 Things You Can Do
It’s September 2025, and 1 in 3 Marylanders still face hunger on a given day.
With the average cost of groceries for a family of four at $1,526, it’s no wonder that internet searches for food assistance have increased 65% compared to last year. And that’s before cuts to federal food assistance and health care programs have made their full impact – changes we estimate will drive further levels of need. It takes many hands—including yours—to fight hunger in our communities. Hunger Action Month is the time to come together, so all Marylanders have access to the food they need to thrive.

We can end hunger when we all work together. Hunger Action Month provides a great opportunity to become part of something larger than yourself: start a new charitable habit or renew an existing one today and be a part of Maryland’s Hunger Fighting Community.
