Based on our 40+ year track record of maintaining a comprehensive, statewide food assistance safety net, we are helping maximize the impact of CARES Act funding to combat the increased food insecurity brought on by COVID-19.
Every holiday season, MFB distributes special meal boxes complete with traditional holiday fixings and paired with a turkey to food-insecure families in need. This year as the pandemic makes it harder for more families to thrive and secure food, these holiday boxes are even more meaningful as they help bring some normalcy to an unprecedented year.

Many of the people we serve are members of communities of color. They have historically been and continue to be disproportionally affected by racial injustice and inequality, which create additional barriers to food security.
