Reverend Dr. Heber Brown III joins Maryland Food Bank President & CEO Carmen Del Guercio for an engaging discussion on building a more equitable food system that strategically addresses hunger and it’s root causes through collaboration between organizations, community leaders and urban farmers.
Catherine’s Family & Youth Services has been offering neighbors in the Edgecombe community access to nutritious foods for years. Recently, the organization’s executive director Valarie Williams has been building pathways out of hunger by developing partnerships with local service providers that are helping locals address hunger’s root causes.
While accessing nutritious food is critical to being able to thrive every day, it takes on an extra level of importance around the holidays. On behalf of the tens of thousands of neighbors whose holidays were made brighter, thank you from the Maryland Food Bank.
Due to the incredible support of Enterprise Rent A Car, Transamerica, the Baltimore Convention Center, and other local businesses, 25,000 Maryland families will be able to enjoy a delicious meal this holiday season.
