September marks Hunger Action Month, an opportunity be a part of the nationwide movement to take a stand against hunger and help our neighbors in need. With more food-insecure Marylanders than ever before due to COVID-19, we need you to act.
In her most recent blog post, MFB’s Farm to Food Bank Coordinator Amy Cawley shares the latest updates on how cool weather, rain, and COVID-19 is affecting the work of the Maryland farms and farmers that make up the Farm to Food Bank Program.
On September 12, we deployed our staff to MFB partner sites from the western mountains to the Eastern Shore to show that we all can do more to help end hunger for more Marylanders as part of our first ever “MFB Day of Service.”
On Sept. 27, the Maryland Food Bank hosted the “Be A Voice” Hunger Action Symposium at the BWI Marriott for more than 280 community leaders, speakers, and guests.
