Every holiday season, MFB distributes special meal boxes complete with traditional holiday fixings and paired with a turkey to food-insecure families in need. This year as the pandemic makes it harder for more families to thrive and secure food, these holiday boxes are even more meaningful as they help bring some normalcy to an unprecedented year.

Many of the people we serve are members of communities of color. They have historically been and continue to be disproportionally affected by racial injustice and inequality, which create additional barriers to food security.
While COVID-19 may have forced us to change how we carried out Pack to Give Back this year, our passionate volunteers made sure that the 2020 version of our annual event was no less impactful on the lives of hungry Marylanders.
